Terms of Service
Last updated 2 September 2026
These terms cover your use of Handler. The unusual part of this product is that an AI agent does most of the work, so the sections on approval and responsibility matter more than they would elsewhere. Please read those two at least.
1. What Handler is
Handler connects your social media accounts to an AI assistant. The assistant can draft posts, schedule them, and read public mentions of your brand. Handler then publishes what you approve to the platforms you have connected. It is operated by Sidejar.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate details. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by an AI assistant you have authorised. Keep your API keys secret; anyone holding one can act as you within the permissions it carries.
3. The review queue — and what it does and does not promise
Every post an agent creates goes to a review queue and waits for a human to approve it. An agent cannot approve its own work: it is not granted an approval permission, no tool exists for it, and the database rejects any attempt to schedule a post that no human has stamped. This is enforced in several independent places on purpose.
What that guarantee does not mean: it does not mean the content is correct. Approving a post is a real decision, and once you approve it, it publishes. Read what you are approving. If you approve something wrong, that is a published mistake on your account, and this section is why it is yours rather than ours.
4. Your content and your responsibility for it
You keep ownership of everything you and your agent create. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, show it to you, and publish it where you direct. You are responsible for making sure what you publish is lawful, accurate, and yours to publish — including anything an AI drafted. AI systems get things wrong, and confidently; that risk sits with the person who clicks approve.
5. Platform rules apply on top of these
When you connect an account, you remain bound by that platform’s own terms — Meta, X, TikTok, and any others. Handler acts on your behalf under the permissions you grant it, and cannot exceed them. If a platform suspends your account or revokes our access, publishing will stop, and we may be unable to restore it.
6. What you may not do
Do not use Handler to publish anything unlawful, to harass anyone, to impersonate a person or organisation, to post content you do not have the rights to, to send spam or coordinated inauthentic content, or to break a platform’s rules. Do not attempt to work around the review queue, extract other customers’ data, or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does any of these.
7. Listening data
The listening feature collects public posts that mention your keywords. You may use what it shows you to understand and respond to your audience. You may not use it to build a marketing list, to profile individuals, or for anything a platform’s terms prohibit. What we collect and how long we keep it is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Availability
Handler is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee. It depends on services we do not control — the social platforms themselves, and the providers that supply mention data. When one of those fails or runs out of quota, the affected feature stops until it is restored. We will try to make such failures visible in the product rather than let them pass silently.
9. Fees
Where a paid plan applies, fees and billing terms are those shown at the time you subscribe. Third-party costs you incur directly — for example your own AI assistant subscription — are yours.
10. Ending it
You may stop using Handler and delete your account at any time; doing so revokes our access to your connected accounts. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Handler is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for the consequences of content you approved. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will give notice by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Handler after that means you accept the new terms.
